Purfresh, a market leader of ocean transport and supply chain management technologies has announced an expansion in Latin America with the appointment of Armando Galue as manager for South America and Miguel Gomez as Manager for Central America and Mexico.

Latin America continues to be a key market for Purfresh Transport technology, protecting the quality of berries, citrus, melons, tropical fruit, and stonefruit exported out of Central America, Mexico, and South America to Africa, Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and North America.

According to the group, Purfresh Transport is the only solution proven effective to minimise decay, control ripening, and enhance food safety without the use of chemicals, protecting decay-prone or ethylene-sensitive fruit for as short as 14 days to more than 45 days on the water.

'Armando and Miguel bring proven track records and extensive industry experience to Purfresh,' said David Bouchard, general manager of Purfresh. 'As we continue to capitalise on new and existing regions of growth and ramp production of our intelligent cargo protection product line, Armando and Miguel will advance our existing relationships and expand our ever-growing customer base in Latin America.'
