Henri Lambriex, the managing director at fruit and vegetable provider Greencell Limited in the UK, has announced that the group has been acquired by international fresh produce distributor Westfalia.
'This new development brings us closer links with a noted primary producer and European distributor, which will take our growth to the next level,' said Mr Lambriex.
The management staff at Greencell wil continue as before with Mr Lambriex remaining as managing director, according to Claus Lippert, managing director of Westfalia.
Westfalia, part of the Hans Merensky Group and based in South Africa, sources from leading global producers and has established a strong marketing network across Europe, Mr Lambriex said.
