Clause presents melons in Murcia
Seed group Clause hosted UK and Dutch importers in Spain last month to introduce them to new melon varieties
French seed specialist Clause last month organised an event at its research station in Murcia, Spain, to present visitors with the leading commercial varieties of melon developed by the company for export.
The event was reportedly attended by some of the main UK and Dutch melon importers and provided an opportunity to exchange views on market trends and consumer needs, as well as to taste the different fruits.
The focus was on three new long shelf life varieties: Karman, a Charentais melon; CLX MLH89 (or Lambada), a Galia for the Murcia season; and Capoeira, a Galia for the Brazilian and Central American seasons.
