Kai Sieberth, joint managing director of leading German importer Cobana Fruchtring, has left the company, Eurofruit has learned.
Sieberth, who was the company's banana and pineapple expert and for many years the right-hand man of group managing director Jürgen Boruszewski, is understood to have departed earlier this week.
His contact details, meanwhile, have now been removed from the importer's website, which now lists Boruszewski himself as category manager for bananas and pineapples in addition to his existing role as category manager for kiwifruit and grapes.
Cobana Fruchtring could not be reached for comment as of Friday, 31 August.
