Israeli produce giant Agrexco has unveiled its exclusive organic pepper variety for the North American and European markets. Ramiro is a sweet pointed pepper with an intense red colour and long shelf-life.
“It is grow in different areas in Israel, a fact that enables better utilization of the climate zones and prevention of diseases and pests,” says Agrexco’s Shira Segal Kuperman. “Our organic growers have adopted the most advanced technologies including controlled heating systems in situations of extreme low temperatures.”
Agrexo plans to market the variety to leading supermarket chains in the US, Canada, Germany, Scandinavia, the Netherlands and the UK.
