At the Parc des Expositions in Montpellier next week, Carrefour Languedoc-Roussillon and Sud de France Développement are organising an exhibition for local and regional produce.

More than 141 companies from France's Languedoc-Roussillon region will present their products to 140 Carrefour representatives, including hypermarket managers, national and regional management teams, product managers of local stores and representatives from Carrefour Market.

According to Jean-Luc Boussin, regional director of Carrefour Languedoc-Roussillon, the goal of the exhibition is to give added value to regional products by offering an overall presentation to the group's buyers.

The initiative was welcomed by Sud de France, whose Chantal Passat stated that the aim was to expand the range of Sud de France products in Carrefour hypermarkets and regional Carrefour Market stores.

'Since the launch of the Sud de France brand, we have had an active partnership with Carrefour,' she said. 'The process has been complicated, but this new policy of Carrefour's regarding the group's offer of regional produce is a good step forward and is the reason for this exhibition of local and region products in Montpellier.'
