Spanish importer Cultivar announced on Monday that it has increased its shareholding in Málaga-based Natural Tropic. Cultivar said in a press statement that the move would enable both companies to exploit the synergies that exist between them.
Natural Tropic is grower-marketer of avocados and mangoes which it sells in Spain and to customers throughout Europe. Cultivar is one of Spain’s leading importers of both products with an extensive marketing network throughout the country.
“By joining forces, both companies will be better placed to supply national and international customers with mangoes and avocados throughout the whole year,” Cultivar said.
Cultivar and Natural Tropic will continue to market the products using their own labels – Cozumel and Natural Tropic for standard grade products and Exótica Premium and Deseo for the companies’ premium offer.
