The 'Fruitness, Enjoy It!' campaign, promoted by Italy's CSO and co-financed by the EU and the Italian ministry of agriculture, is poised to benefit from a host of online improvements in the second half of 2014.

The project to promote fruit consumption in Germany, Denmark, Poland, Sweden and the UK boasts an updated website now available in Danish, in addition to the existing Italian, English, German, Polish and Swedish versions.

Various games and apps have either been added or enhanced, allowing children to play as characters Mr and Mrs Fruitness on their computers, smartphones and tablets, while enabling adults to access nutritional information and recipes.

The site promotes not just fruit and vegetable consumption but also ways to lead a healthy life in general, including exercise, reducing intake of sweets and sugary drinks and choosing between different types of fats.

Finally, the campaign will receive a further boost with a refreshed Facebook page, featuring regular posts highlighting the most interesting fruit-related information.
