Thomas Eskesen, the vice-president of AP Møller-Maersk's shipping division Maersk Line, is to stand down from his position this month.
Eskesen's departure has been confirmed by Maersk Line this morning, although the company would not comment on reports that he would remain at the Maersk Line until July next year.
Eskesen has held a number of roles at Maersk, including general manager of Maersk Hong Kong, general manager of Maersk, director of Maersk and senior director of Maersk Line.
