The South African Table Grape Industry has released its figures up to Week 2 of 2015, with exports to its key markets well up on the 2013/14 campaign.
According to SATI's industry newsletter, total exports for the end of Week 2 had reached 23.2m 4.5kg equivalent cartons, up from 14.99m cartons shipped at the same point last year.
The EU has taken 14.5m cartons, up from 9.1m at the same stage in 2014, with the UK's imports up to 5.76m cartons from 4.1m.
Both the Middle East, with over 844,000 cartons, and South East Asia with 1.56m cartons, saw yearly growth, SATI revealed.
