In the Netherlands, retail group Super de Boer has called an extraordinary general meeting (EGM) for the 31 October 2008 to appoint a new board member.
The company said in a statement that the meeting would see a supervisory board vacancy filled by Anauld Strasser, who currently occupies the role of advisor to the chairman of the board of management at Casino Group.
The position became vacant when Jan Ozinga resigned from the Super de Boer board on 1 October after two years in the role.
Contrary to previous announcements, Mr Ozinga will remain a member of the board until the end of the EGM, Super de Boer said.
