Nikolai Fedorov, Russia’s minister of agriculture since May 2012, has been relieved of his position, according to APK-Inform.
The research company reported that Vladimir Putin, president of the Russian Federation, had appointed Alexander Tkachev, previously governor of Krasnodar Krai in southwestern Russia, as his replacement.
Meanwhile, Fedorov will reportedly become an advisor to the president.
