Greenyard Foods has announced that Deprez Holding NV has received notice that the European Commission has decided not to oppose the proposed integration of Greenyard Foods, Univeg and Peatinvet.
As a result, the EC has effectively declared the combination compatible with the internal market and with the European Economic Area (EEA) Agreement.
This marks another step towards the combination of Greenyard Foods, Univeg and Peatinvest to form a global market leader in fruit & vegetables.
The transaction is subject to the approval of the listing prospectus by the FSMA and the approval of an Extraordinary General shareholders meeting of Greenyard Foods, which takes place on 19 June 2015.
