Blueberries Terra Export

Due to growing demand from its customer base, global fresh fruit trading company Terra Exports is continuing its expansion with the opening of a new office in Chile.

They have hired Pedro Pablo Rojas Barros as Export Manager to lead both the sourcing and exporting of Chilean, Peruvian, and Argentinean fruits at the new location.

The Chilean office will handle the shipment of grapes, apples, cherries, blueberries, citrus, stonefruit, pears, avocados, and kiwifruit from Chile, Peru, and Argentina.

Chile has been a large shipment hub for Terra, and with continual increase in demand, the group said that it made sense to set a permanent presence in the country. The addition of this location offers customers better pricing, higher quality fruit, more ease in communication, and better customer service.

President of Terra Exports, Nils Goldschmidt explains: “Today’s global fruit industry landscape is littered with companies that overpromise, yet under deliver. This is a critical mistake that creates damaging consequences for everyone involved, from the grower, to the exporter, to the customer. By building an office in Chile and adding Pedro Pablo to our team, we are giving our customers the essential peace of mind they yearn for when ordering fruits from that part of the world.”

Terra Exports is currently planning blueberry and cherry programmes with their customers from their new office in Chile, and any inquiries on this can be directed to Pedro Pablo Rojas.

With its continued expansion, Terra Exports now has locations in nine cities around the world, and is already planning expansion for 2016. Current plans include opening an office in South Africa, continued development of the domestic US brokering & importing divisions, and adding to their current staff in Europe.
