Berrybowl

Three berry marketers in the Spanish region of Huelva have clubbed together to launch a new product called Berrybowl, which features a distinctive, berry-shaped plastic pack designed to catch the attention of consumers.

The Berrybowl range includes three berry types – raspberries, blueberries and blackberries – and has been unveiled to coincide with the start of the Spanish season in early 2016.

It is understood the packs will be used primarily to market the fruit to high-end consumers on the domestic and export markets.

The launch of the 125g bowl follows the recent introduction of Fresapack, a strawberry-shaped punnet also developed by the same three companies.

The three companies involved in the Berrybowl project are Lujovi, Bonafru and Plus Berries, an association formed in 2008 by producers Agrícola El Bosque, Frutas Remolino, Frutas Hermanos Pulido, Agromartín and, since the start of this year, Tilla Berries.
