Prince de Bretagne cauliflower

Europe’s leading cauliflower producer, Brittany-based Prince de Bretagne, has announced the imminent launch of its winter cauliflower season.

The marketer anticipates a harvest of around 120m heads and expects production to be more stable than last year’s.

“Planted in July and August, the succession of different varieties chosen provides a staggered harvest from November to June,” the company states, “with the largest volumes available from November to April.”

Prince de Bretagne also stressed the continued availability of its other brassicas, including green cabbage, Romanesco, broccoli and kale, as well as its coloured cauliflower, available in orange, purple and green.
