CMA CGM

Leading shipping company CMA CGM has announced it will deploy six 18,000 TEU vessels between Asia and the US West Coast from May.

“This decision is in line with both the growth strategy set by the Group in the United States and around the world and the optimisation of its fleet,” the group said in a statement released 3 March.

The flagship fleet expands the group’s trans-Pacific line, which CMA CGM said was its most active and dynamic market.

The six ships have been named after explores, including Benjamin Franklin, Vasco de Gama, Kerguelen, Bougainville, Zheng and Georg Foster.
