Dutch vegetables retail

The Dutch Nutrition Center has put forward its first new recommendations since 2004, advising the consumption of greater volumes of fruit and vegetables at the expense of red meat.

The country's nutritional model now has five categories: fruit and vegetables; spreads and cooking fats; fish, legumes, meat, eggs, dairy and nuts; breads, cereals and potatoes; and beverages.

According to the Netherlands Times, the recommended amount of daily vegetables has increased from 200 grams to 250 grams, and daily intake of meat was decreased.
