The Trade Commission of Peru in the Netherlands is holding an event in Rotterdam next month to inform Dutch companies of the Expoalimentaria trade fair which is held every year in Lima in September.

The Seminar Expoalimentaria- Peru Experience takes place at the Maritiem Museum in Rotterdam on 19 May, 2016 from 15:30 to 19:00.

“The aim is to inform Dutch companies about doing business with Peru and about the Expoalimentaria trade fair,” said the commission’s Angélica Kroon.

“During the seminar companies like Eosta and Seatrade will speak about their business experience in Peru. Furthermore, important institutions such as the Centre for Promotion of Imports from Developing Countries (CBI) and the Dutch Council for Trade Promotion (NCH) will highlight the trade opportunities for Dutch companies in Peru and their trade promotion programmes.”

The principal area of trade between Peru and the Netherlands is the food and agribusiness sector, which is why MVO Nederland will complement the presentations with a talk about the MVO Network Food & Agribusiness. This network is made up of companies working on sustainability in their company and/or sector.

The event will also give guests ample networking opportunities while enjoying typical Peruvian dishes and drinks, Kroon added.

Companies in the fruits, vegetables, coffee, cocoa, and logistics sectors wishing to sign up for the seminar can register by sending an e-mail to Angelica Kroon angelica.kroon@perutrade.nl.
