The board of directors of BelOrta has announced the appointment of Philippe Appeltans as the Belgian cooperative’s new CEO.
Having earned a degree in organic engineering, Appeltans gained huge experience in the Belgian fruit and vegetables sector as secretary general of VBT, the Association of Belgian Horticultural Cooperatives.
The news comes a month after the announcement of the imminent departure of Filip Fontaine following five years at the helm of BelOrta.
According to BelOrta, Appeltans will assume his new role at the company after the summer.
