Brittany-based marketer Prince de Bretagne is highlighting new, easy ways of cooking artichokes on the eve of the French season.

Multiple varieties of artichoke – namely Camus, Castel, Cardinal and Petit Violet – are set to hit substantial volumes by next week, with peak production expected in the second half of May.

Efforts are currently underway at Prince de Bretagne to rejuvenate the image of the vegetable and attract younger consumers by pointing out their nutritional qualities and providing “modern, quick and simple preparation solutions”, according to the marketer.

“After cooking on the griddle in 2018, thanks to Articook, the microwave is in the spotlight for 2019,” Prince de Bretagne announced. “Artichoke is a reusable microwaveable box. Developed by Prince de Bretagne, it makes it possible to cook an artichoke in less than ten minutes.”

The box will be offered to shoppers via competitions linked to the marketer’s ‘Seasonal Vegetable Festival’ in-store promotions, as well as on sales of multipacks of four to five heads.

Prince de Bretagne equally offers preparation guidelines, consumption tips and various recipes through its website.
