The Standard Chartered Dubai Marathon took place last week in the UAE, featuring Pink Lady as the official product supplier and sponsor for the second year running, according to LucaZara, which manages the Pink Lady brand in the Middle East.
This year, in addition to the main race day, Pink Lady joined other official sponsors during the three-day public race pack collection at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel in Dubai.
On race day, hostesses and mascots were on hand to ensure each participant received their own Pink Lady apple, supplied by Fresh Fruits Company, the exclusive distributor of Pink Lady in the UAE and Oman.
More than 30,000 people reportedly took part in Dubai’s signature fitness event, wither in the full-distance marathon, the 10km challenge or the 4km “Fun Run”. A number of “Fun Run” entries were also sponsored by Pink Lady, according to LucaZara, adding “a splash of pink to the occasion”.
