Òpera European Excellence

òpera, a consortium backed by Italian organisations Fedagri and Confcooperative and charged with promoting typical European agricultural products in foreign markets, is running a series of initiatives in India this week with the aim of highlighting its European Excellence project to leading importers and distributors in the country.

The events, which are being held in Mumbai alongside food and beverage trade fair Annapoorna–World of Food India (13-15 November) and in Bangalore, have been designed to attract business leaders, importers and operators from the India food retail, foodservice and horeca sectors as well as chefs, journalists and other opinion formers.

The programme of events kicks off with a gala evening reception, providing an opportunity to explain more about the European Excellence project and the broad range of products in the òpera basket.

Guests will also be able to sample a special menu designed to combine Italian tastes with flavours of the Orient.

This week's visit follows a similar expedition in May, when òpera organised a number of promotional and networking activities in New Delhi and Mumbai.
