Four more speakers have joined the Eurofruit Southern Hemisphere Congress conference programme, taking place on 2-4 December at the Grand Hyatt Santiago in Chile, with the event's line-up now in its final stages of completion.

Overall, an impressive 17 senior-level fresh produce industry representatives will address delegates at this year's event in Santiago, which will be jointly opened by Chilean minister of agriculture Marigén Hornkohl and Ronald Bown, president of the Chilean Exporters' Association (ASOEX).

New additions to the programme include Roland Waardenburg, director of social corporate responsibility at Dutch retailer Ahold and Jeff Oberman, vice-president of trade relations at the United Fresh Produce Association. Separately, the duo will present the significance of social and environmental responsibility in Europe and the US respectively, and in particular the impact on consumer purchasing decisions.

In the final session of the conference, Noel Shield, general manager at China-based logistics provider Kerry Fresh will join Exportadora Atlas managing director, Jorge Sierralta and other to-be-confirmed speakers to highlight the opportunities for Southern Hemisphere exporters to expand their business in new and emerging markets such as Asia, the Middle East, eastern Europe and Russia.

The Eurofruit Southern Hemisphere Congress, organised by Eurofruit Magazine, is the leading networking and conference event for the international fresh produce industry in the Southern Hemisphere. This year's three-day event is set to attract over 450 delegates from all over the globe.
