Andalucia’s interprofessional fruit and vegetable producer organisation Hortyfruta has approved Manuel Galdeano Moreno as its new president at a recent general meeting.
Mr Moreno, who is also president of Almerían producer association Coexphal, takes over the role from José Martínez Portero.
In a statement, the new Hortyfruta president said he was ready to work towards the unification of the entire Andalusian fresh produce sector and hoped that his experience in greenhouse production could be used to meet the challenges that currently face the industry.
