Swiss logistics group Kuehne and Nagel has handed Lothar Alexander Harings the role of member of the management board for global human resources.

Mr Harings replaces the outgoing Klaus-Dieter Pietsch, who has held the role for more than 20 years. He will leave the company on 30 June 2009 having transferred his responsibilities to Mr Harings.

The new appointment joins Kuehne and Nagel from T-Mobile International AG, where he held the role of chief human resources officer. Previously he had held a position responsible for the international human resource activities at the Deutsche Telekom Group.
