Super de Boer

Dutch retailer Super de Boer reported an increase in average weekly sales per store of 7.3 per cent for 2008, to more than €127,000.

CEO Jan Brouwer said that he was “pleased” with this positive sales development, commenting: “Due to the refurbishment of 42 stores and the like-for-like growth of 3.4 per cent, Super de Boer achieved almost the same consumer sales in 2008 as in 2007 with, on average, 30 fewer stores than in 2007.”

Sales for 2008 reached €2.06bn, according to the company, only marginally less than 2007’s figure of €2.08bn.
