The Irish operation of logistics company Kuehne and Nagel (K&N) has become the first of its kind in the country to be awarded the Excellence Through People (ETP) standard across all its business divisions and sites.
In evaluating for the standard, which is designed to further an organisation's performance through its people, Kuehne and Nagel's activities were benchmarked against best practices in business planning, training and development, internal communications and recruitment.
Kuehne and Nagel was recognised for innovation and dedication in promoting continuous improvement across the organisation, the group said.
'We are strongly committed to developing our employees and ensuring that we are constantly improving our employee engagement and involvement levels,' said Marcus Bennett, managing director for Kuehne and Nagel Ireland. 'This highly prestigious human resource management standard recognises the high calibre of standards we already hold and in the future, we want to aim even higher by pursuing further accreditations offered by the ETP.'
