CenFRA

CenFRA Ltd, the European food robotics and automation facility located in the UK, has enlisted the help of a group of industry specialists to provide the food sector with access to the latest technical knowledge and support.

Chaired by Mike Wilson, president of the British Automation and Robotics Association, the Technical Advisory Group (TAG) has been set up to access market information and technology trends.

TAG will also provide assistance in linking collaborative research programmes, helping to raise CenFRA's profile and arranging for key speakers to attend seminars.

'TAG can help keep us abreast of the latest technical developments in automation and robotics, which may influence what sort of advice and direction CenFRA gives to its customers,' said CenFRA chairman Michael Taylor.

CenFRA will in turn provide TAG members with feedback from the food industry, he added.

Commerical director David Cheeseman said: 'TAG is looking for CenFRA to be a conduit of industry trends and issues by following them up with the group, who can then formulate a strategy on hope those problems might be resolved. It is that collective technical expertise and experience that we're looking for to work for the good of the food and beverage industry.'

Mr Wilson added that CenFRA could provide a communications link between equipment suppliers and end user.

The CenFRA (Centre for Robotics and Automation) organisation is Europe's first centre for robotics and automation and is located at the Crompton Business park in Doncaster, the UK.
