French retailer Carrefour has decided to close its single store in Algeria, having terminated its agreement with Arcofin, according to Ennahar Online.
The partnership between the two groups began in 2006, but only one out of a total of 18 mooted hypermarkets ever opened due to difficulties in finding available land.
Carrefour has declined to explain the reasons for its departure from Algeria.
