French vegetable seed company Clause has announced plans to reorganise its production and research sites in France.
In order to safeguard its position in a highly competitive environment, Clause has revealed that it will achieve on three sites what it previously managed on six. The company will reportedly keep its sites at La Bohalle, Portest-lès-Valence and Saint Rémy de Provence, while giving up those at Beaucouzé, Brétigny-sur-Orge and Maninet.
The reorganisation, which the company expects to be completed within three years, will be accompanied by an investment programme worth more than €25m, aimed mainly at varietal selection, quality control and packaging.
