MTEX figs

Israeli exporter MTEX has revealed that it expects the first European arrivals of Israeli figs in approximately two weeks’ time.

Israeli figs are grown predominantly in the Galilee and in the Jordan Valley. The variety delivered by MTEX is known as the Brown Turkey and lasts until the end of July.

“From the beginning of June we will get several arrivals by air each week,” says Dirk Willem Blijleven, commercial director for MTEX Holland. “The Brown Turkey has a copper brown skin with red undertones and an inviting white-pink inside.”
