Plastic packaging specialist Harrison Europac has announced that it is changing its name to Faerch Plast Ltd as a key part of its strategy following its acquisition by the Danish company of the same name at the end of 2008.

The UK-based group was established in 1989 and had a joint venture with majority shareholder Faerch Plast for 20 years before the group purchased the remaining 20 per cent in Harrison Europac in 2008.

'We have been wholly owned by Faerch Plast A/S since the end of last year and using one name will help create more clarity and uniformity across the business as well as further strengthen relationships with our customers, employees and suppliers,' said group managing director Joe Iannidinardo.
