Leading Russian fruit importer and distributor Joint Fruit Company (JFC) has reported that group profit through the first half of 2009 increased nearly six-fold, up to RUR236.6m (€5.3m).
Group revenue through the first six months of the year jumped 86 per cent to over RUR6.9bn (€154m), JFC reported.
Following the recent bankruptcies of leading Russian groups Sorus and Sunway, JFC is nowregarded as the only major player in Russia's fruit import industry.
