Fruit Logistica

Some 2,300 exhibitors from 80 countries are expected from 3-5 February at Fruit Logistica 2010, the world’s leading trade fair for the fresh fruit and vegetable business, compared with the 2,288 exhibitors from 78 nations that attended the show in 2009.

Covering more than 90,000m2, the Messe Berlin exhibition Halls 1 to 25, plus Halls 1.1, 2.1, 3.1 and 4.1, are completely booked, with the main exhibitors for the 2010 event the European fresh produce countries: Italy, Spain, Germany, France and the Netherlands.

Mexico, one of the leading fruit and vegetable producing nations in Latin America, is the official partner country for Fruit Logistica 2010 and all of the nation’s key fresh produce companies will be represented at Mexico’s largest trade fair exhibit to date.

The trend toward concentrating geographical regions in specific areas will continue at Fruit Logistica 2010. Latin American exhibitors will be in Hall 25, while Greece, Morocco and many other Mediterranean countries will be exhibiting for the first time in Halls 1.1 and 2.1.

More than 50,000 top decision-makers from 125 countries will be coming to Berlin for the three-day trade show in February, which will mark the 18th edition of the trade fair, which has been staged each year since 1993.

Representatives from the German Federal Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Consumer Protection will join the Mexican Ministry of Agriculture for the Fruit Logistica 2010 opening ceremony on 2nd February at 6pm.

Sharing the same dates with Fruit Logistica and covering 3,000m2 of exhibition space in Hall 1.1, the international trade fair Freshconex 2010 will present an overview of the latest trends in the fresh produce convenience market.
