T. Mularski

Polish horticultural company T. Mularski has revealed that it is to develop Europe's largest greenhouse facility for tomato growing, located close to the City of Opole in the south-west region of the country.

According to a report in Gazeta Wyborcza, the project will cost an estimated PLN250m (€60.8m).

The facility will be designed with the environment in mind, the report said, with greenhouses to be powered by steam – a by-product of the nearby Opole power station.

Carbon Dioxide for use in the greenhouses will be purchased by the company from chemical plants located in Kedzierzyn and Pulawy.
