UK fresh produce marketer Worldwide Fruit has launched its newly revamped Jazz Apple website with the aim of raising consumer awareness of the Braeburn-Royal Gala cross.

The new website's arrival comes as Jazz’s impressive expansion and rise to prominencegathers momentum, with May seeing the single largest shipment of Jazzapples to the UK from New Zealand. The country's second domestic commercialJazz crop is due to come online this October.

'The site has been given a complete overhaul to bring it in line with Jazz Apples core brand values and interactive sections have been added to assist with future marketing and promotional activity,' explained a spokesperson for the company.

Updated features include a revamped news section, a recipe page containing 12 recently created recipes, information on Jazz Apple sampling events, details on competitions, an image gallery containing photos from recently attended events as well as all the latest information on Jazz Apples, where they can be bought and their nutritional value.

The unveiling of the new website also marks the launch of Jazz Apple’s new Team Jazz Sports Sponsorship Scheme, which is hoping to attract sport enthusiasts of all ages, backgrounds and sporting disciplines. Team Jazz is offering a £1,500 support package for budding sportsmen and sportswomen, with everyone from a 65 year-old BMXer to a future Olympic hurdler to an accountant who has just started base-jumping being urged to apply.

The scheme is also seen as an important way to drive traffic to the site, with applicants asked to download the application form from the new Team Jazz section.
