The Sustainable Foods Summit is scheduled to take place on 10-11 June at Movenpick Hotel Amsterdam City Center, the Netherlands, where sessions will be held on key issues that the food industry faces concerning sustainability, organics, Fairtrade and other eco-labels.
The summit will bring together leading organisations involved in Fairtrade products in Europe, including the Fairtrade Labelling Organisations (FLO) International, Max Havelaar Netherlands, Max Havelaar Belgium, Ecocert Fair Trade, Solidaridad, Alter Eco, Altra Mercato, Royal Ahold Group and Co-op Switzerland.
Topics covered in the summit include ethical sourcing, Fairtrade concepts, carbon offsetting, water footprints, traceability and transparency, sustainable sourcing, ethical marketing, changing consumer behaviour and ecological packaging.
The summit is organised by Organic Monitor, a specialist in research and consultancy that focuses on the global market for organics and related products.
