Unaproa Vernocchi

Davide Vernocchi has been named as the new president of Italian producer organisations union Unaproa following the recent decision of Fabrizio Marzano to step down.

Mr Vernocchi is currently president of the fresh produce department of Fedagri Confcooperative and also serves on the board of Agrintesa and is vice-president of Apo Conerpo. He joined Unaproa last year as vice-president.

'In taking on this role, I thank my predecessor Fabrizio Marzano, who can be credited with contributing significantly to the growth of the Italian fresh produce sector and of Unaproa,' said Mr Vernocchi. 'Together with the member organisations, I hope to carry on the work done until now in order to make our combined network even more competitive and suited to the new trading environment brought about by the reform of the CMO.'
