Total Produce has acquired Benfield Philips Ltd, a long established and well-respected fresh produce wholesale business located in the southern UK port city of Southampton.
Denis Punter, chairman of Total Produce UK said he was pleased with the company's latest acquisition. 'Benfield Philips is a well respected business and we are delighted to have the opportunity to work more closely with their team,' he commented.
Benfield Philips was formed in 2003 as a result of a merger between two of Southampton's oldest fresh produce importers anddistributors, A G Benfield and A Phillips (Brokers).
The company occupies a 9,000ft2 warehouse in the heart of Southampton's port area.
