Fresh fruit and vegetable buyers from all over the world can be confident of finding new and exciting products to source for their own markets when they come to Asia's premier fresh produce trade fair, Asia Fruit Logistica, at the beginning of September.

'With more than 20 per cent new exhibitors at Asia Fruit Logistica this year, there are excellent prospects for buyers to meet new suppliers, to make new contacts and to source new products,' said Gérald Lamusse, managing director of Global Produce Events GmbH, which organises the fresh produce trade fair in association with Asiafruit Magazine.

Asia Fruit Logistica is seeing considerable interest from new and existing exhibitors from Asia, Europe and the Southern Hemisphere, among others. Exhibitor numbers from key Asian markets such as China, Japan and Korea are up significantly, and major supplying countries such as South Africa, New Zealand, Chile, France, Spain and Italy all have major increases in registrations.

The three-day fresh produce trade fair takes place on 8-10 September 2010 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Over 275 exhibitors and more than 3,500 visitors from more than 50 countries all over the world are expected at Asia Fruit Logistica this year.

'The opportunity to grow your business is a key motivating factor for visitor attendance,' explained Mr Lamusse. 'Last year our surveys found that more than 80 per cent of trade visitors placed orders or negotiated business deals, while almost the same number said they had made new contacts or found new suppliers.'

'Based on what it offers there are very few better investments to make this year than to come to Asia Fruit Logistica,' said Mr Lamusse.
