Leading fresh produce developer, grower and marketer Sun World International has appointed Darren Thornberry to the position of vice-president of strategic planning and analysis.
Mr Thornberry will have overall responsibility for the firm's planning practices, including strategic business planning, supply chain analysis, financial performance analysis and capital budgeting.
He first joined Sun World in 2006 as a senior operations analyst and most recently functioned as the director of strategic planning.
He previously worked as an independent consultant providing business planning services, and prior to that for Dole Fresh Fruit and Jackson & Perkins in the areas of finance, administration and operations planning.
