Bonduelle

Leading vegetable and salads marketer Bonduelle has announced the expansion of its Brazilian operations with the inauguration of a new production facility in the city of Cristalina.

The company has invested a total of €15m in the new centre, which will enable the company to turn out up to 50,000 tonnes of tinned peas and sweetcorn per annum.

Bonduelle has been present in Brazil since 1994, and said it expects growth in the market to continue during the coming years.
'The canner's capacity of 50,000 tonnes could be doubled with the addition of a frozen vegetable operation, again destined for sale to the local market,' said a spokesperson.
