Agrexco pitahaya

Israeli exporter Agrexco has just commenced exports of its Carmel-branded winter pitahaya variety, Desert King.

According to product manager Tidhar Jackson, Desert King is an exclusive Israeli variety with a rich taste that is superior to other varieties.

The export season is set to last until March 2011, with North America and Europe, especially France and Germany, the main target markets for the company.

Thanks to its toughness and long shelf life, the fruit can easily be transported by sea freight in Agrexco's modern reefer vessels, Carmel Biotop and Carmel Ecofresh.
