Hong Kong container line Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL) has inked an agreement with French shipping group CMA CGM to join its India/Pakistan-Europe service (Epic) by contributing one out of eight ships from April 1.
In a press release OOCL said the deal allows it to offer a direct, comprehensive and reliable service to clients with extensive market coverage in the Middle East, India, Pakistan, as well as the Mediterranean and North Europe. OOCL will market the service as its India Pakistan Europe (IPE) service.
CMA CGM will upgrade its service and OOCL will provide slots in the market from March 1.
The service calls at Jebel Ali, Port Qasim, Nava Sheva, Mundra, Jeddah, Port Said, Malta, Tangiers, Southampton, Rotterdam, Hamburg, Antwerp, Le Havre, Port Said, Khor Fakkan, Jebel Ali, with a round voyage time of 56 days.
