Combined, Frutos Canarios and Fortuna Fruits boast the largest overall production of Canary Islands tomatoes. Volumes are expected to exceed 16 million cases for the season 2001-2002, and the new company which will be formed by the merger has plans for constant growth and heavy investment in both the UK and continental European marketplaces. A new name and identity for the company is promised shortly.
