YPC marked its first anniversary with a dinner and dance for 162 guests at the Queens Hotel in Leeds. The event signalled a return to the custom of an annual dinner, which had lapsed at the old market, and according to organisers Ernest White and Gilbert Thompson, was an indication of the upbeat mood at the new site. The Yorkshire Produce Centre began trading on April 12 last year.
