Growers from around the country attended the organic vegetable supplier's first event held last month, which covered measuring and improving performance and vendor assurance. It incorporate two workshops looking at organic potato production and organic carrot production. 'The training days were specifically designed to improve crop quality and performance a part of RB Organic's drive to deliver good quality organic roots and potatoes to the consumer for less,' said Andrew Burgess, RB Organic's commercial manager.

A total of 24 growers attended the training events and further days are already being planned for June when RB's own organic farm will be the location for an interactive training session.

'We want to make our supply base better than the rest, in terms of yield, quality, service and cost,' said Burgess.
