Rustler Produce has strengthened its team with the move of Jason Burgess from its sister company Solanum to Rustler as managing director.

Rustler is one of the UK's leading suppliers of onions and leeks, and in addition to Burgess there are several other new appointments.

Rustler's chairman Bernard Cook said: 'We are delighted that Jason has accepted this position. Coming from a produce background along with his expertise and knowledge of the onion industry will enable him to take Rustler forward by delivering short term strategic goals and long term vision.' Burgess added: 'Having spent three years on the board at Rustler as a former non-executive from 1997, I have a good understanding of the company and how the business can be developed in order to keep it at he forefront of the industry.' Other new appointments include the addition of David Carter as operations and procurement manager, and Jonathan Tole as product and technical manager. Brett Jones joins Rustler and its sister company Isleham Fresh Produce as national account manager.
