The Herb Society won two silver medals at this year's Chelsea Flower Show.

The 'Feast of Herbs garden and the Society's display of British Wild Herbs in the Lifelong Learning zone were prepared entirely by volunteers, using as much recycled plants and materials as possible.

Cheryl Waller, the Society's garden designer was delighted. She said: 'We won a bronze medal last year, and two silver in 2003 so we are moving in the right direction.' Following the Chelsea show the exhibits will be moved to the Society's headquarters in Sulgrave, where the plants will be replanted in the National Garden of the Herb Society due to open this summer.
